What is the Parenting Tune-Up & When is it?
The Parenting Tune Up is a 4-week Conference at Bridge Community Church where we invite speakers to come teach and speak into the lives of parents. This year, we will meet the last 4 Wednesdays of the month of September to listen, learn, discuss, and grow together as we seek after God’s Heart for our children and invest in being the Christian Parents wwe are called to be.
Meeting dates are September 9th, 16th, 23rd, and 30th and each night the conference will run from 6 to 7:30pm in the Bridge Community Church Sanctuary at 710 S. Cambridge Street Orange, CA 92866.
Who will be speaking and what will they be speaking about?
We will be led by Rachelle & Bridge Senior Pastor, Danny Kurimay (9/9), Dr. Kevin Van Lant of Biola University & CIFT Counseling (9/16), Yesenia Rosas of CIFT Counseling (9/23), and our very own Samantha Reeves, former Professor of Psychology and leader of our Bridge Moms Group (9/30). Each night we will cover different topics rooted in Biblical Truths & Christian Values ranging from the cognitive development of children, a biblical view of parenting, instilling discipline in our children, discipleship at home, age-appropriate ways to handoff responsibilities, depression & anxiety in teens, finding a balance between school, family and extracurriculars, staying connected and "on the same team" with your spouse, and so much more. You can learn more about our speakers by scrolling down to the bios below.
What about my kids? Is there childcare?
Childcare is available for all children of all ages. We encourage parents to arrive by 5:50pm and park in our back parking lot in order to have time to check your children into their classes prior to our event start time (check-in room is downstairs directly across from our church playground).
Who is this conference for?
This conference is open to absolutely everyone. Whether you are a married couple with multiple kids, a young couple thinking about starting a family of your own, a single mom in the thick of raising children, a grandparent who provides care for your grandchildren regularly, or just curious to learn, you are welcome to join us. This conference is also open to all community members, friends, family members, etc., even if you don't call Bridge Community Church "home," we would love to have you!
What if I can’t make every session but still want to come?
Not to worry! We would encourage you to register for the conference and come as you are able. Whether you need to skip a night or come in a bit later than the start time, we understand busy schedules.
Will this conference be recorded or live-streamed?
We will not be live-streaming this event. Recordings will not be available until the completion of the entire conference, likely in early to mid October.
